The development of laser technology has been one of the greatest advancements in modern dentistry over the last several years. The use of this new technology allows our office to provide you with state of the art dental care while leaving you much more comfortable than traditional dental procedures. For more information on the benefits of this technology, read the guide we’ve created below.
What is the hard tissue laser used for?
The hard tissue laser allows us to remove unhealthy tooth structure quickly and easily. The technology is precise enough that when creating a bonding surface for things such as dental crowns or veneers, we can often remove a much smaller portion of the tooth enamel to create a bonding surface, making cosmetic restorations much easier. The laser can also be used to remove old fillings and repair cavities much more quickly than the use of more traditional dental technology provides for.
What are the benefits of the hard tissue laser?
The hard tissue laser allows Dr. Gillespie to remove any unhealthy tooth structure without the need for a traditional drill. This means no shots, no uncomfortable vibration, and no disturbing or unpleasant sound. The use of this new technology allow us to eliminate many of the things that patients find uncomfortable or frightening about their dentist’s office. Without that fear, patients can feel comfortable making and keeping their regular appointments, as well as seeking treatment for serious dental issues.
Here at the office of Roger L. Gillespie, DDS, we are proud to be able to use the hard tissue laser for some of our dental procedures. We are committed to ensuring our patients have the most pleasant and comfortable experience possible. Call our office today and allow us to put state of the art modern dentistry technology to work for you.
